Brief
Lumen was taking nine roasts into national wholesale and had nothing to sell them with beyond phone snaps of a hand-stamped bag. They needed packshots consistent enough to sit in a retailer's grid, lifestyle imagery that still felt like their café, and a way to shoot the next seasonal release without mounting a full production every quarter.
02
Approach
I built the packshot rig first and documented it to the millimetre — camera height, light positions, exposure — so the setup is repeatable to the frame. All nine SKUs went through it in two days. The lifestyle work happened in the roastery during real production shifts: steam, burlap, dust on the lens, nothing art-directed beyond a colour palette agreed in advance so the imagery would sit next to the packaging without a fight.
03
Outcome
A 140-asset library covering pack, pour, origin and roastery, and a rig document that turns a new SKU into a half-day shoot instead of a new production. Retail buyers got a consistent grid; the café kept its steam.
